To develop Human Resources in the field of special education and prepare Special Education teachers/Educators to impart education and training effectively to Children’s with Disabilities as well as all other Children’s for various settings (including Inclusive, Special, Open School & Home Based Education), the PPWO has been managing Pingalakhi College of Special Education (PCSE) Teachers training Centre Since 2011.
The PCSE offers B.Ed. Special Education (Hearing & Visual Impairment) Courses with intake of 30 seats in each course. Apart from Degree level Courses PCSE also imparts D.Ed. Special Education (Hearing/ Visual Impairment) courses, Refresher/Orientation and Continuing Rehabilitation education Courses for field functionaries, service providers, policymakers, Teachers & Parents of Children’s with Disabilities.
PCSE is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Dept. of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi, Recognised by the Dept. of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar & Affiliated to the Utkal University, Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar.
