The Kalinga Home for Mental Ill was inaugurated on 4th November, 2020 by the. Sj. Samir Ranjan Dash, Hon’ble Minister School & Mass Education, Govt. of Odisha with Sj. Gagan Bihai Das, Sj. Padmalochan Mohanty, Dr. Prabhakar Tripathy, Educationist etc. The Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt. of Odisha, support the Home. There is provision for accommodate both Male and female persons with mentally Ill with providing therapeutically intervention as well care and vocational activities for their cure or behavioral modification. The center is currently functioning at the Integrated Infrastructure Complex, Bangar, Gop, Puri.
